Eugeny Zhukov was born on February 11, 1913 in the suburb of Tsaritsin (now Volgograd). In 1937 he graduated from Repin Institute of Fine Arts (Boris Ioganson's workshop). He studied with Alexander Savinov, Mikhail Bernstein, Semyon Abugov. He has participated in exhibitions since 1948. Member of the Leningrad Union of Artists since 1964. He painted landscapes, portraits, still lifes, genre paintings. He taught at the art schools of Alma-Ata, Tashkent, Samarkand. From 1957 to 1977, he taught at the drawing department of the Leningrad Institute of Arts named after V Mukhina. His works are in museums and private collections in Russia, Germany, France and other countries.
