Nina Veselova (1922 - 1960)

  Nina Veselova was born in 1922 in Leningrad. In 1950 she graduated from the Repin Institute of Fine Arts, Boris Ioganson's workshop.She was a student of Boris Vogel, Leonid Ovsyannikov, Semyon Abugov, Henrikh Pavlovsky, Alexander Zaitsev. After graduating in the 1950–1954 years, Nina Veselova had continued her postgraduate studies under creative workshop by the leading of People's Artist of the USSR Professor Alexander Gerasimov. In 1954 she was awarded the academic degree of Doctor of art-criticism. Participant of exhibitions since 1939. Member of the LOSH since 1950. She was a wife of Alexander Pushnin. She painted portraits, genre and thematic compositions, landscapes, still lifes. Works by Nina Veselova are in the State Russian Museum, the State Tretyakov Gallery, in museums and private collections in Russia, China, France, Germany and other countries.
