Vladimir Seleznev was born on August 3, 1928 in Leningrad. In 1953 he graduated from the Repin Institute, the workshop of Professor Rudolf Frenz. He studied with Mikhail Platonov, Ivan Stepashkin, Petr Belousov, Yuri Neprintsev. Participation in exhibitions since 1951. A member of the Leningrad Union of Artists since 1953. He painted battle and genre compositions, landscapes, portraits, still-lifes. Vladimir Seleznev's works are in museums and private collections in Russia, Great Britain, USA, France and other countries.
