Galina Rumiantseva (Andreeva) was born June 23, 1927 in the city of Sestroretsk, Leningrad region. In 1957 she graduated from the Repin Institute of Fine Arts, Boris Ioganson's workshop. She studied with Alexander Zaitsev, Vasily Sokolov, Leonid Khudyakov. Participation at the exhibitions since 1958. Member of the Leningrad Union of Artists since 1958. She painted landscapes, still-lifes, prints, genre and historical paintings. Galina Rumiantseva's works are in museums and private collections in Russia, the United States, France and other countries.
