Maria Rudnitskaya was born on June 17, 1916 in Ekaterinoslav in the Ukraine. In 1949 she graduated from the Institute of Fine Arts named after I. Repin, the studio of Victor Oreshnikov. She studied with Semen Abugov, Boris Vogel, Mikhail Bernshtein, Igor Grabar. Participanion of exhibitions since 1949. Member of the Leningrad Union of Artists  since 1949. She painted landscapes, portraits, still-lifes, genre paintings. The works of Maria Rudnitskaya are in museums and private collections in Russia, the USA, Italy and other countries.
