Dmitry Oboznenko was born on July 10, 1930 in Leningrad. In 1957 he graduated from the Institute of Fine Arts named after I.E. Repin, the workshop of Joseph Serebryany. He was engaged with Vladimir Gorb, Valery Pimenov, Vitaly Valtsev, Rudolf Frentz. Participated in exhibitions since 1957. Member of the Leningrad Union of Artists since 1957. He painted portraits, genre and battle compositions, landscapes, etudes from nature. He was engaged in satirical graphics. Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1978). The works of Dmitry Oboznenko are in the State Russian Museum, the State Tretyakov Gallery, in museums and private collections in Russia, Great Britain, France, Germany and other countries.
