Mikhail Natarevich (1907 - 1979)

  Mikhail Natarevich was born on September 29, 1907 in Vitebsk. In 1940 he graduated from LISSA, Boris Ioganson's workshop. He studied at Semen Abugov, Alexander Savinov, Mikhail Bernshteyna. He had a participation in exhibitions since 1941. From 1941 to 1945 Natarevich served in the Great Patriotic War as a member of the Red Army and was awarded of many orders and medals. Member of the the Leningrad Union of Artists since 1946. He painted genre and historical-revolutionary compositions, portraits, landscapes. He worked in the technique of oil and tempera painting. Personal exhibitions in Leningrad (1981) and Petersburg (2008). The works of Mikhail Natarevich are in museums and private collections in Russia, France, Germany and other countries.
