Alexei Mozhaev (1918 - 1994)

  Alexei Mozhaev was born on October 5, 1918 in the village of Second Sosnovka, Saratov region. In 1946 he graduated from the Institute of Fine Arts named after I.E. Repin, the workshop of Boris Ioganson. He studied at Mikhail Bernshtein, Alexander Lyubimov, Isaak Brodsky, Henry Pavlovsky. Participant exhibitions since 1936. Member of the Member of the Leningrad Union of Artists since 1946. He painted portraits, landscapes, genre and thematic compositions. Personal exhibitions in Leningrad (1985, 1989). He taught in Tavricheskaya Art School and the Secondary School of Arts (now the Artistic Lyceum named after Boris Ioganson of the Russian Academy of Arts). Works by Alexei Mozhaev are in museums and private collections in Russia, the United States, France, Japan and other countries.
