Tatyana Kopnina (1921 - 2009)

    Tatyana Kopnina was born on November 11, 1921 in Krasnoyarsk. In 1950 she graduated from Ilya Repin Institute, the workshop of Mikhail Avilov. She studied with Alexander Zaitsev, Henry Pavlovsky, Semyon Abugov. Participant of exhibitions since 1949. Member of the  Leningrad Union of Artists since 1950. She paintes portraits, genre compositions, landscapes, still-lifes. Over thirty years (1960-1991) she taught at the School of Art (now the Art Lyceum named after B. V. Johansson). Personal exhibition in Leningrad (1985). Tatyana Kopnina's works are in art museums and private collections in Russia, Japan, China, USA and other countries.
